I have tried many drivers recommended by hp, and microsoft and some have worked for a few minutes but then uninstall themselves and then no sounds again. There are many files begining with kmod-nvidia, 17 to be exact. The wifi one is more problematic I think as I seem to recall that the Broadcom 43xx chips have a driver that’s licensed under some weird terms which means no-one can distribute it. I have a hp pavillion dv and have windows vista home premium service pack 2 installed.
I suspect there’s only one of those. Here is what i’ve tried so far: I have the same question 0. Please visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website to determine what type of chipset your motherboard has and where you can find the most recent drivers for it.

ChrisBelanger Created on February 23, Broadcom Limited BCM I’m not sure how to install them. You can grab kmod-forcedeth from ELrepo and transfer it to your machine via a USB stick and then yum install it from there.

This site in other languages x. All works well but no sound. You don’t want kmod-nvidia, you want kmod-forcedeth which is the driver for nvidia Mbps ethernet cards. Keeping these drivers up to date is important – especially if you are experiencing generally sluggish system performance.

I tried to install CentOS 7 but no network card are available. Fingers in gear, brain disengaged, sorry. Do i have to try each of them or is there a way to narrow my search?
