It’s working without any problems, is easy to move from my pc to my wii when I want to stream movies. I decided to purchase a dual band adapter when I added another comp to the local network. I’m running it now through the XP software and getting maybe out of five bars and pretty lousy performance for games and other higher bandwith stuff. In this case I had Linksys G and switched to N. Anybody with similar confusions? I’ve had Cisco Linskys adapters before and they have worked well. Iofiel, January 14, Written by a customer while visiting HP. I would not be on line typing this review without it being fully connected! I wanted to like this unit, but it proved to annoying to cope with for very long.
Maybe there’s another way, but I’m not a computer geek: Calling their help line ran me around in circles with Linksys eventually saying that they couldn’t help me. I compared this with the internal Atheros-based wirless G network card in my low-end Compaq laptop and the Linksys adapter consistently showed lower signal strength.

During the research phase of choosing this wjsb600n I became concerned that I would need to be certain I got version 2 however the one I got is version 1 and it is working just fine! You were then forced to re-set the adapter.
I like that you can put the USB directly into your pc or use the base with the wire to get it out of the way.
CoffeeTime, May 30, Now everything is perfect. Add a Walmart Protection Plan. It plugs into an existing USB port and comes with installation software that finds the network automatically. This issue is obviously a problem enough for a number of users since Linskys own forums have many users trying to troubleshoot this issue.
I use this particular computer for business and needed something ultra reliable and this has been perfect so far. It’s easy to setup and gets great signal and as long as the internet is up, it is ready for what you nwtwork to do.

When installing, be sure to uninstall a previous wirelss device wirelses. I bought this device a week ago and i think it’s amazing with lots of unbelievable power, i must say that it’s a lightening fast to reach out the far distence of wi-fi signals in your area and the signal strenth is amazing with this product, i would strongly recomend thanks.
I also like the long cord and holder it sits in, because I don’t have to reach around the back of my tower adxpter move it from one place to the other. But i have to admit it does what it says it will do.
Also to note, I found that even though the 5GHz band is wide open, gand signal seems to be affected much more by physical objects than the signal on the 2.
Furthermore its constant reseting also continually froze my mouse pointer on the screen.
